School Bus Consultants, LLC, Annapolis, MD 2001 to present Since 2001, I have been focused on assisting school districts and municipal governments across the United States and Canada with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of school transportation and fleet management services. My work has focused on a wide range of topics including performance measurement, cost control, technology use, outsourcing and insourcing feasibility; organizational design and operations management. Additionally, I have worked with four states to evaluate and/or redesign the structure and application of the funding mechanism used to distribute school bus transportation funds to local school districts.
Maximus, Inc. Reston, VA 1998 to 2001 As a Senior Consultant in the Fleet Management Services Group, I conducted efficiency and effectiveness analyses for municipal fleet services operations across the United States. Working with fleets as large as 15,000 units and as small as 50 analyses were conducted to improve parts procurement, fleet replacement, technician management and technology management. Developed a software-based model to project fleet replacement and financing costs under multiple scenarios.
United States Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General Washington, DC May 1997 – February 1998 Served as Project Analyst and Project Manager for inspections associated with the Violent Offender-Truth in Sentencing grants provided to state governments.
